Attention Prospective Managers and Coaches:
Note: 2025 Baseball and Softball Season applications now available. All managers/coaches go through the selection process each year, including people who have coached a team in previous years.
Prospective Manager
If you are interested in Managing at the AAA (Minors), Majors, Intermediate, Juniors, or Seniors divisions, please fill out the Manager application. Click HERE to complete your application and by clicking submit, your application will be automatically submitted for review. (T-Ball and Rookie divisions, please use the same form)
For AAA (Minors) and upper divisions, applications need to be completed and submitted by December 1st, 2024.
For T-Ball and Rookies applications need to be submitted by January 15th, 2025.
Note: In addition to submitting your completed Manager application, you must also complete the online volunteer registration process. You can do this by selecting the "Login" button at the top right corner of the webpage.
Prospective Coach
The primary role of a coach is to assist the Manager by helping to run practices and assist during games. Each team is allowed a maximum of two rostered coaches. Coaches do not have to fill-out a Manager Application. However, just like anyone volunteering for Little League, you must complete the online volunteer registration. You can do this by selecting the "Login" button at the top right corner of the webpage.
EACH COACHING STAFF MUST HAVE ONE MEMBER OF THE STAFF THAT IS CERTIFIED IN CPR AT ALL TIMES, INCLUDING IF THE HEAD COACH/MANAGER IS ABSENT. IN ADDITION, ALL VOLUNTEERS WANTING TO BE APPROVED AND RECEIVE A BADGE MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING TRAININGS PRIOR TO A BADGE BEING PRINTED; ABUSE AWARENESS TRAINING COURSE
TEAM ROSTERS WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL ALL REQUIREMENTS ARE COMPLETE.
Coach Registration Requirements
All coaches are required to obtain the same level of qualification/certification.
The reason for this is simple: SAFETY.
In the absence of a manager/head coach, other coaches will be able to provide qualified care to our players.
To qualify for consideration as a coach, you are required to upload the following items during registration:
- Valid Driver's License
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate (approx. 30 min.) (valid for 3 years from date of completion)
- Concussion in Sports Certificate (approx. 45 min.) (valid for 1 year from date of completion)
- Abuse Awareness Training (approx. 45 min.) (valid for 1 year from date of completion)
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certificate (approx. 25 min.) (valid for 2 years from date of completion)
- Photo for ID Badge (clear photo showing only YOUR face & shoulders, NO sunglasses)
Please use the LINKS below to obtain your certifications PRIOR to registering.
Certifications/Documents
All certificates and documents must remain valid until the end of the coaching season you are registering for.
- For Spring ball, your document/certificate must not expire before June 30.
- For Fall ball, your document/certificate must not expire before October 31.
A failure to upload valid documents will delay your application, your ability to volunteer, and may cause your team to start the season late.
The system does not save your certifications from last year. It is the volunteers responsibility to save a copy of documents that can be used for more than one year.
Background Check
After you have successfully submitted your information, you will receive a background check from JDP at your registered email address. Please complete your background check within 2 weeks or the link will expire.
Coaches Code of Conduct
Coaches are required to read, sign, and abide by the Coaches Code of Conduct.
ASAP Safety Manual
Coaches are required to read, understand, and follow the SCLL ASAP Safety Manual.
Photo ID Badge Policy
As a coach, you will receive a Photo ID badge with a lanyard. SCLL requires all volunteers to wear them whenever they are volunteering for SCLL. Your ID badge will be printed and distributed as soon as possible.
Please read our Photo ID Badge Policy
