The Tee Ball division is designed to be instructional more than competitive and the goal is player development. Therefore, the rules are to be taught while they are being enforced. Please remember that our primary purpose at this age group is to teach the players the basic rules and fundamentals of the game in a safe and positive environment.
1. Age Alignment: The age alignment will include players league age 4 - 6.
2. Game Length: Game ends after 5 innings or 60 minutes, whichever comes first
3. Scorebook: No score is kept in T-Ball
4. Umpires: There are no umpires in T-Ball
5. Playing Rules: The following apply to this level of play.
a) A 4ft arc in front of home between the 1st baseline and the 3rd baseline must be drawn; the ball must leave this arc to be considered in play.
b) Offensive coach assists hitter
c) Player swings until ball is in play.
d) Each team bats thru once
e) Runners take only one base at a time.
f) No outs
g) Up to 2 defensive coaches are allowed.
6. Playing time:
a) Players must change position at least twice per game.
7. Rescheduling Games:
a. Managers are expected to confirm in advance of each game the location, time, and field; and status of inclement weather, if pending.
b. Inclement Weather:
All efforts should be made to play games safely in inclement weather.
1. A minimum two-hour notice is to be provided if a game is cancelled due to weather.
2. It is up to the coach’s discretion as to whether a game is canceled.
3. If there is lightning, games will be delayed until safe to play or canceled and rescheduled at a later date.
8. Reschedule Procedure:
Rescheduling of games shall be the responsibility of the managers.
1. It is the responsibility of the home team manager to provide a field for a rescheduled game
2. The following rescheduled game information must be provided to the league scheduler:
i. Schedule Game Number
ii. Reason for Cancellation or Reschedule
iii. New game date, time, and location.
